blessings,
LaLuna
*looks around uncertain* am I the only one here who practices Christmas in July with that song? Lol.....forget only the month of December, I bust it out all year 'round! People at stop lights next to me when I have the windows down do give me kind of a strange look. Lol
She's everything head first
So happy to be causing trouble

I so wish Duran Duran would do at least one or two Holiday songs for like one of he very special cd's for charity..or the 12/12/12 concert for he sandy victims, if not an actual cd full of them as a actual 'release' which i fear is asking a bit much....but come on Guys one or two sings for a good cause (and me!!!)
Blessings,
LaLuna

I also play a lot of eighties music, such as blondie, go go's, early prince, & depeche mode. I always have music on either at home, work, or while I'm driving b/c I enjoy it so much.

Synthetica - Metric (an AMAZING album - every song is at least good, and most of them are great...one listen through and it has rocketed to second on my list of best albums of 2012, behind only Theatre is Evil by Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra. Having an album impress me that much on first listen almost never happens)
The 2nd Law - Muse (it's in my car right now, so I'm only halfway through it, but it is EPIC - similarly to Metric's album, all killer and no filler so far. Extrememly pissed that I can't go see them in Detroit in a few weeks because my band has a show booked that night)
A. A. Bondy mix (a selection of his songs put together for me by a friend, and damn is it good. A nice folky alternative to the modern alt/electronica influenced sounds that have been dominating my recent listening)
Other than that, eagerly awaiting the first full length album from England's The Good Natured.

Listening to a CD mix of songs my band is working on:
Gloom & Doom - The Rolling Stones (hard to believe they can still seriously rock when they're all at or pushing 70!)
Brown Sugar - The Rolling Stones
Heartache Tonight - Eagles
Dance the Night Away - Van Halen
Vaseline - Stone Temple Pilots
Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots (they were never better than on their second album Purple, hence these two songs being here)
Give it Away - Chili Peppers (not sure we'll be able to pull this one off)
Dani California - Chili Peppers
Youth Without Youth - Metric (Blew me away first time I heard it - best song of the last year. I was surprised and psyched that the entire band liked this and are on board - they usually lame out on cool current songs)
Stupid Girl - Garbage (another I f***ing LOVE - always have - but I've been pushing for years without success)
I Can Only Give You Everything - Them/MC5 (leaning toward the MC5 version)
Kicks - Paul Revere & the Raiders
Kid Rock - Born Free (UGH!) ![]()
You Oughta Know (Flea's isolated studio bass track) - Alanis Morissette (we already do this one - I just threw the bass track on the CD because it's so damn awesome!)
Won't Get Fooled Again (Keith Moon's isolated studio drum track) - The Who (I've been pushing unsuccessfully for this song for years. Just threw this stunning drum performance on because, well, just listen to the song!)
Whole Lotta Love (John Bonham isolated studio drum track) - Led Zeppelin (another one just thrown on for the fun of listening to one of the greatest rock drummers of all time)
